my opinion on illegal music downloads
I don't see anything wrong with it. CDs cost mere cents each to make, there's no reason they should be priced at $15 an album. What's even more ridiculous is that many artists, on both major and indie labels, get little to none of this massive profit- nearly all goes to the record companies and their employees, who then proceed to use it to buy coffee in the morning. It disgusts me that those who spent the time and effort recording their thoughts don't get the benefits- it's their music. So yeah, I'm a pirate, I steal everything I can.

so then why do I buy cds??
Because I can't download everything. There's a good amount of music that I couldn't find on the internet, therefore I went and bought the cd. Also, album artwork [Brand New's The Devil And God, for example] plays a factor as well as artists who start their own labels and do get the profit [Manchester Orchestra, another example]. That's what I still buy cds.
